The Pencil and Eraser Analogy

I was drawing with my wooden, old-fashioned pencil when suddenly I thought of something.
WHAT IF THIS PENCIL DOESN'T HAVE AN ERASER? What if erasers were never invented?
What could've been done about it?

My answer would be drawing VERY carefully and trying so hard to draw with no mistakes.
And if I've been doing it so smoothly then I make a single mistake, I'll regret it so badly. :/

Now here's the thing. Does life have an eraser?
No. We do have the 'pencil' to write with, but we don't have the 'eraser' to undo the mistakes we've made.
Here are my thoughts:

1. Do it right.
Life is not some kind of toy we can mess with. Take the wrong turn and everything will turn into a big mess. As a human we can't do anything perfectly, but we can avoid making more mistakes. While we're still young, it is better to realize our mistakes before it gets worse. So, make the right choice before it's too late. Life is unpredictable.

2. Fix it up!
What if we've been doing everything so perfectly, then a single scratch on our drawing ruin everything, and we don't have any eraser to erase it? The only answer to that is to fix it. There is this one Indonesian quote saying, "Nasi sudah menjadi bubur." which means, the rice has became a porridge. We can't change the porridge back into its rice form, can we? Then, what is left for us to do, is to make a tasty bowl of porridge. ;) We might not be able to change it back into rice, but we can still do something from it by making a delicious porridge, so that people can still eat it and saying how good it is. We can't change the past, but we can still do something in the present in order to change the future. :)

 Wow, that was deep, huh? From an ordinary, old fashioned wooden pencil and an eraser, we dig deeper! B-)

Why Worry???

I was thinking of making a post about life lessons and values, but I'm not a philosopher, so ..... Yeah.Therefore, I decided to talk about one thing.
Talking about life is really fun, you know, even if it's boring sometimes. There's this one damn thing in our lives, called Worry. People worry. I worry, you worry. Normal people worry at least once in their lifetimes. Worrying is absolutely normal, you see. But check out this awesome picture I got from 9GAG! ;D

People HAVE problems too, but can you do something about it? Yes? No?
If the answer is yes, then why worry?
No? Then why worry too?
If you don't have any problems in your life, then .. Why worry? :))

See, there are no reason at all for us to be worried! So, don't worry and be happy!

10 Billboards That Make You Say 'Whoa'

Thanks to the advertising world nowadays, we have these awesome billboards!

1. Paint Billboard. They use the sky as the color tone. Amazing.

 

2. Another Paint Billboard. Even more stunning than ever.

3. A boy moving the building Billboard. A beautiful camouflage! :))

4. An ad for PSP. Cool. The 'background' is so realistic, I wonder................. :P

5. Underwater billboard. Well, now I know that they DO make billboards underwater. Anyway, really, we don't want our earth to sink under the water right? Stop global warming!

6. A whiskey ad. Thank goodness the flowing whiskey's fake. ;)

7. A toothpaste advertisement. Rip off the billboard with strong teeth!

8. Two ads combined. I didn't know that they actually had the idea, so inspiring. (The surfer dudes are kinda hot, actually)

9. Whoa, what's this? Blood rain? Nahhh, I don't think so.

10. Great, now I'm hungry.

I really appreciate the ad designers who made these out-of-the-box ads.
